A students lead design conference at Institute of Design
BarnRaise is THE ID student run and organized conference. It is a uniquely structured maker-conference that connects design firms, community-based organizations, and participants to address a social topic embedded in the Chicago community. This means that BarnRaise isn’t just the typical “sit-and-get” conference—but rather, under the facilitation of a design firm, participants work in multi-disciplinary teams to develop a user-centered understanding of a problem posed by a community organization and prototype possible solutions. The co-chairs along with the leadership team work to build the foundation for the full 2-1/2 days of the conference.
I designed a swag gift- a ruler for all participants as a volunteer in experience team. At the same time, I was an ambassador in the team together with RKS.
I led a team of volunteers to design and execute a conference experience that gave attendees an opportunity to immerse with leading design firms and healthcare organizations to solve challenge .
The experience design for a conference include from a high level theme to single signage on the wall.
